How to Run a Website Health Check in 60s

By Lera KFebruary 9, 2026 · 4 min read

Wondering whether your website is actually healthy? Most site owners wait until something visibly breaks — a slow page, a security warning, or a drop in leads. By then, the damage is already done. A website health check catches these issues before your visitors do.

Ready to check your site?

What is a website health check?

A health check is an automated scan that analyzes your website across multiple dimensions: performance (how fast it loads), security (SSL, headers, vulnerabilities), SEO (meta tags, structured data), accessibility, mobile readiness, code quality, and — crucially — conversion factors like CTA visibility and value proposition clarity. The result is a 0-100 Care Score plus a prioritized list of fixes.

What categories does the health check cover?

Our tool evaluates eight categories, each weighted by real-world impact: Performance (30%), Security (18%), Mobile (14%), Accessibility (14%), SEO (9%), Content Quality (6%), Code Quality (5%), and the recently added Design & User Experience (Conversion) (4%). The Design & User Experience (Conversion) category checks whether your homepage has a clear value proposition, a visible CTA above the fold, and consistent visual design — the three factors that most directly affect whether visitors take action. Learn more about our approach on the Methodology page.

How to run one in 60 seconds

  1. Go to the free scan or the Website Health Checker page.
  2. Paste your URL into the input field (e.g. example.com).
  3. Click "Run free scan" and wait ~30 seconds.
  4. Review your Care Score and the category-by-category breakdown with impact, priority, and first-fix recommendations.

No signup required for the first scan. You get results right in your browser.

What to do with the results

Each category shows an Impact statement (what it affects), a Priority recommendation (what to fix first), and a First Fix — a single, concrete action you can take today. Start with the highest-priority issues and work your way down.

"The best time to find a problem is before your visitors do."

Why regular checks matter

Websites change constantly — new content, updated plugins, expired certificates, evolving security threats. A one-time check is good; weekly automated monitoring is better. With our Pro plan, you get automatic weekly scans and email alerts so you never miss a regression.
